Children Safely Guidelines

Welcome to all the returning children and the new faces to 2011-2012 Children Sunday School.

Our ultimate goal is to, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6. This year, we have a new curriculum, “Heartshaper” by Standard Publishing. We believe that this new curriculum will help the children laying a strong foundation in understanding God’s Word.

We greatly encourage parents to review the bible verses with your child after each lesson. The goals for all the classes are set as follows.

Pre-K to K - The Lord’s Prayer
G1 to G3 – Psalm 23 and New Testament Index
G4 to G5 – The Armor of God, and New & Old Testament Index

Please come on time at 8:45am. Let’s sing praises to our God and share God’s word together. See you all at church!.

親愛的家長們:
今年我們的中文兒童主日學的主題是祈求神。
上課的時間是上午十時半至十一時半, 內容包
括吹木童笛(年幼的畫圖畫或做手工)、唱中文
兒童聖詩、祈禱、看中文DVD聖經故事、寫
中文字和背誦主禱文。很高興的是我們有九
位弟兄姊妺參與作導師, 他們的名字是: 曾倩儀、
莫啟友、謝妙姬、劉詠珊、李愛娟、梁藹珩、
羅景厚、陳若媛。希望藉着每星期短短的 一小
時, 小朋友不但能學習中文, 更能用中文祈禱及
看聖經, 用口和樂器讚美祂

Dear Parents,

I would like to have this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Jan Tsui. I will be your new nursery coordinator. Some of you might already know me. I have been a nursery helper for many years and I am Sean Tsui’s mom.

This year we will continue to strive for the best care for our 0 to 3 years
old children so their parents can enjoy the Sunday worship. The programs we offer include free play, music time and story reading appropriate to this age group. We encourage the parents in our congregation to bring your little ones to church to experience the love of our God and his servants. We will continue the nursery program in the same room every Sunday until we relocate to our new church. Saturday nursery service is currently located in new church site where all fellowships meet.

We are grateful to have Annie Ho to come and serve as the leader of SCF this year. Annie is an 11th graders who's a student attending Lynbrook high school. She serves in different areas in her home church including Sunday school and children fellowship. She will be teaching SCF with Ching who is from our youth fellowship. Ching is a freshman of
San Jose States majoring child development.

This year we will be studying 'The Armor of God'. The children will learn when they put on God's Armor; God’s life surrounds them and keeps them safe in Him. We also will try to encourage our children how to apply and exercise what they have learnt in SCF into their daily life. This year our theme song is 'G.R.A.C.E" and will be preparing a skit for
Children Sunday. Prayer request: pray for wisdom and strength for SCF teacher, helpers and workers.

From the teacher…..

Hello! My name is Annie Ho and I am currently a senior and Vice President at Lynbrook High School. I am very excited to be the teacher for the children’s fellowship this year! I am from a large family of nine. I have two older sisters, one older brother, and two younger sisters, and one younger brother. I am exactly in the middle! I have been working
with kids since third grade all the way until now. I was a nursery helper at my church, San Jose Christian Alliance Church (SJCAC) almost every Sunday beginning in third grade and two years ago I volunteered to be one of the Sunday school youth teacher assistants. I babysit a family of three children, the oldest who goes to a private elementary school in
Los Altos where I also went. Asides from working with children, I enjoy biking, basketball, cooking, and am part of my school’s Track and Field Team. I am very blessed and grateful to have this teaching opportunity and I look forwards to getting to know you and your children!
